HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 605, No Ordinance Number605 AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE R1GHT OF WAY FOR TRAFFIC AT VARIOUS INTERSECTIOPJS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND FIXING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CODWlSSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. As used in this ordinance the term "intersection" shall mean the whole of that space at the intersection of one street with another which is bounded by the property lines as extended across said streets. SECTION 2. Vehicles of any kind being operated on the first named streets at the following intersections shall have the right of way over other traffic at said intersections: Park Avenue & 5th Street Park Avenue & 7th Street 7th Street & Harrison Street Monroe Street & 5th Street Monroe Street & 11th Street Monroe Street & 15th Street Monroe Street & 19th Street 9th Street & Harrison Street Harrison Street & 10th Street Clay Street & 9th Street Clay Street & 11th Street Clay Street & 14th Street Clay Street & 19th Street 5th Street & Jackson Street 9th Street & Jackson Street Jackson Street & 27th Street Washington Street & 27th Street Caldwell Street & 10th Street Caldwell Street & 9th Street Burnett Street & 10th Street Caldwell Street & 8th Street Cadlwell Street & 7th Street 5th Street & J!Ones Street 5th Street & Adams Street 9th Street & Adams Street Ohio Street & 8th Street Tennessee Street & 8th Street Tennessee Street & 7th Street Powell Street & Ashbrook avenue Locust Drive & Powell. Street Locust Drive & Yeiser Street 606 SECTION 3. Before entering any intersection listed in Section 2 of this ordinance, the operator of a vehicle using the intersecting street not having the right of way as declared in said Section 2 will bring his vehicle to a complete st p before proceeding to enter or to cross said intersection. SECTION 4. Any driver who violates the provisions of this ordinance by failing to stop at any intersection as required herein, shall upon conviction be fined not less than $5.00 nor more than }20.00 for each violation thereof. SECTION 5. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here with are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION 6.
