HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 604, No Ordinance Number604/ �,// AN ORDINANCE DECLARING NORTH TENTH STREET FROM BROADWAY TO CLAY STREET S� A ONE-WAY STREET FOR USE OF ONE-WAY TRAFFIC TRAVELING NORTH; PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF VEHICLES ON THE EAST SIDE OF NORTH TENTH STREET FROM BROADvIAY TO .r CLAY STREET; PRESCRIBING THE PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF; AND REPEALING ,3 d ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH QL WHEREAS, North Tenth Street between Broadway and Clay Street in the City of Paducah is a narrow street and can accomodate no more than two vehicles abreast at any point, and safety and health require that said street be regulated and that travel on same be reduced to one-way traffic. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. North Tenth Street between Broadway and Clay Streets in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, is hereby declared to be a one-way street and will be traveled only by traffic moving north on North Tenth Street at any point between Broadway and Clay Streets. ^ny person operating a vehicle of any kind on said stre in a southerly direction between Broadway and Clay Street will be violating the provisions of this ordinance. SECTION 2. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, company or corporation to at any time park or leave standing a vehicle of any kind on the east side of North Tenth Street from roadway to the south property line of Clay Street. SECTION 3. Any person, firm, company or corporation violating the pro- visions of Section 1 of this ordinance shall be fined not less than Two Dollars ($2.00) nor more than Fifty Dollars (;;50.00), and each time such violation occurs in that area prohibited by this ordinance, shall be construed as a separate offense Any person, firm, company or corporation violating the provisions of Section 2 of this ordinance shall be fined not less than One Dollar (,;x1.00) nor more than Twertyl�five Dollars (;,;25.00), and each time such violation occurs in that area prohibited by this ordinance, shall be construed as a separate offense. SECTION 4. All ordinances and n-�rta of or,;i.rances in conClict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION 5.
