HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 552, No Resolution NumberA RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO.GRANT TO THE WESTERN KENTUCKY GAS COMPANY A PERMIT FOR THE LAYING OF GAS MAINS ON THE GRASS PLOT OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF THE OLD MAYFIELD ROAD, JACKSON STREET AND 31ST STREET AND PRESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SAID PERMIT SHALL BE GRANTED BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah authorize the City Engineer to grant unto the Western Kentucky Gas Company a permit for laying of gas mains in the grass plots on the east side of the Old Mayfield Road extending from Coxey Street to the center of Schmidt Street, if extended, and in the grass plot on the east side of 31st Street between Clark Street and the north line of Jackson Street, thence west in the grass plot on the north side of Jackson Street to the intersection of Jackson Street with the Lovelaceville Road, and that said permit be granted upon the condition that said company comply with all of the provisions of an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING DIGGING, OPENING OR EXCAVATING IN ANY STREET, SIDEWALK, GRASS PLOT, ALLEY OR OTHER PUBLIC WAY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND FIXING THE PENALTY FOR ANY VIOLATION THEREOF", which was adopted on September 24th, 1946 and as amended thereafter, and also with the provisions of another ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE FURTHER REGULATING THE DIGGING, OPENING OR EXCAVATING IN ANY STREET, SIDEWALK, GRASS PLOT, ALLEY OR OTHER PUBLIC WAY IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND FIXING THE PENALTY FOR ANY VIOLATION THEREOF", which was adopted on June 17, 1947• SECTION 2.
