HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 550, No Resolution Number550 ✓ A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE SALE OF ONE USED CATERPILLAR MODEL #33 GRADER, SERIAL NUMBER 7A85; PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to advertise for sale to the highest bidder one used caterpillar model #33 grader, Serial number 7A85. Each bidder shall state the highest amount he is willing to pay and the full amount of the purchase price shall be paid in cash. SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by a notice posted up at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request for bids in at least one issue of the Sun Democrat. The notice shall be posted and published at least seven days prior to the opening of bids and no bid shall be opened within ten days from the date on which this resolution is adopted. No bid shall be received unless under seal, nor shall any bid be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of bids. All bids received by the City Manager up to the time fixed in the notice shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may accept the highest and best bid. The Board of Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids and they shall not become legally obligated to sell such grader until the adoption of an ordinane authorizing such sale. SECTION 3. This resolution sha;l be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
