HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 530, No Ordinance NumberAN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AN EXTENSION OF TIME FOR THE PLACING OF STONES, KARKERS AND MONUMENTS ON THE PROPERTY KNOWN AS "CORNELL PLACE" AND PROVIDING FOR TH FURNISHING OF A BOND WITH RESPECT THERETO WHEREAS on April 3, 1951, by an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE APPROVING FINAL REPORT OF THE CITY PLANNING AND ZONING COM1 ISSION RESPECTING THE SUBDIVISION THE PROPERTY KNOWN AS 'CORNELL PLACE', WHICH IS LOCATED IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND IS PART OF THE GENERAL AREA BOUNDED BY SClt:IDT STREET, GEORGIA STREET, BEIDERMAN STREET AND THE OLD M1'YFIELD ROAD, APPROVING THE PLAT OF SAID SUBDIVISION AND SUB- DIVIDING SAID PROPERTY", this Board approved the subdivision of the property known as "Cornell Place", a plat of which appears of record in the office of the Clerk of the McCracken County Court in Plat Book D, page 36; and WHEREAS the placing of stones, markers and monuments on said property in conformity with said plat was waived for a period of 171 days, conditioned upon the furnishing of a bond in the form set out in said ordinance, which bond was duly furnished by the owner of said property, Guthrie May, as principal and The Employer: Liability Assurance Corporation, Limited, as Surety, and is now in the files of the City Clerk, and WHEREAS circumstances justify an extension of time for the placing of said stones, markers and monuments, as :is evidenced by a resolution of the City Planning and Zoning Commission adopted on September 21, 1951, entitled "A RESOLUTION RESPEC, THE PLACING OF STONES, t-rARK$RS AND 1401Ui�.ENTS ON THE PROPERTY KNOWN AS 'CORNELL PLACE"', which resolution contains a recommendation for such extension, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COtihISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF P.;DUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Guthrie May, as Owner of the property known as "Cornell Place", a plat of which is of record in the office of the Clerk of the McCracken County Court in P Book D, page 36, be, and he is hereby, granted an additiohal period of 180 days within which to install on said property the stones, markers and monuments shown on said plat; provided, ho:•reber, that as a condition to this extension of time the said Guthrie 14ay shall cause the bond heretofore furnished pursuant to Section 2, subsection (c) of an ordinance entitled: "nN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE CITY PLANNING AND ZONING COME133ION RESPECTING THE SUBDIVISION OF THE PROPERTY KNOWI! AS 'CORNELL PLACE' ;lHICH IS LOCATED IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND IS :. PART OF THE SEVERAL AREA BOUNDED BY SCHMIDT STREET, GEORGIA STREET, BEIDER74:7I1 STREET AND THE OLD MAYFIELD RO AD, APPROVING THE PLAT OF SAID SUBDIVISION AND SUB- DIVIDING SAID PROPERTY", to be lawfully extended by himself as Principal and The Employers Liability Assurance Corporation, Limited, as surety to cover said addition&l period o£ 180 days, or, in lieu of such extension, said Guthrie Nay ay furnish an additional bond of similar import like amount and acceptable surety coVering the said additional period of 180 days.
