HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 492, No Ordinance Number492 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF THE SUM OF $750.00 FROM THE CONTINGENT FUND, ACCOUNT NO. 1500, TO THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT UNDER ACCOUNT NO. 4167, OPERATING EXPENSE WHEREAS, there is an immediate need for mosquito control by the Health Department in order to relieve and prevent the spread of mosquitos in the Paducah area; and WHEREAS, said Health Department has no funds or revenue available for mosquito control, and the City of Paducah desires to contribute funds out of its Contingent Fund for such use NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah transfer from the Contingent Fund the sum of $750.00 to the appropriation for the Health Department, Operating Expenses under Account No. 4167, said sum to be used by said Health Department for Mosquito Control Work. SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized to cause to be published in the Paducah a notice of the introduction of this ordinance and the proposal to make the aforesaid transfer of appropriation for the year 1951 to provide the Health Department with said sum for said purposes, said notice to be published at least one week before this ordinance shall be put upon its final passage. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for public inspection until the transfer of funds as provided herein has been published as required by law, and shall be put upon its final passage after such publication. y o r Introduced by the Board of Commissioners July 24, 1951 Passed by the Board of Commissioners August 14, 1951 Recorded by Sarah Thurman, City Clerk, August 14, 1951.
