HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 480, No Ordinance Number480 / AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED:: "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EMPLOYMENT OF ATTORNEYS TO REPRESENT THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, IN LEGAL MATTERS; FIXING THE NUMBER TO BE EMPLOYED AND THE AMOUNT OF THEIR COMPENSATION; PRESCRIBING THE DUTIES OF SUCH ATTOR- NEYS; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON APRIL 24, 1951s AND AMENDED ON JUNE 26, 1951 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 6 of an ordinance containing the title quoted above be amended so that as amended said section hhall read as follows: "SECTION 6. The monthly salaries of the attorneys employed by the City of Paducah shall be in amounts as follows: (1) Corporation Counsel $320.00 (2) Assistant Corporation Counsel S�3 ajssigned to the handling of civil matters 220.00 (3) Assistant Corporation Counsel assigned to Police Court 175.00 (4) Special Counsel 305.00 The salaries of attorneys shall be paid at the same time and in the same manner as the salaries of other employees of the city are paid." SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be retroactively effective as of July 1, 1951.
