LEE,A CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT, TO MAKE AN AUDIT OF THE PROPERTY RECORDS AND ACCOUNTS OF THE CITY TREASURER AS OF THE CLOSE OF BUSINESS JUNE 30, 1951, FIXING HIS COMPENSATION THEREFOR: AND AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF N1,200.00 FRO14 SUITS AND CLAIMS ACCOUNT TO THE ANNUAL AUDIT ACCOUNT TO PAY THEREFOR WHEREAS, the employment of Henry Collins, as City Treasurer, will terminate as of the close of business on June 30, 1951 and it is necessary and advisable that an audit of the property records and accounts of the said City Treasurer be made as of said date by a qualified public accountant, therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CO13:ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah enter into a contract of employment with 1•_orris A. Lee, a Certified Public Accpuntant, to make an audit of the property records and accounts of Henry Collins, City Treasurer, for the period January 1, 19 to the close of business on June 30, 1951, and that said Morris A. Lee be paid the sum of ;11,200.00 for his services in making said audit, and the City Danager is hereby authorized to enter into and sign a contract with said public accountant for the preparation of said audit. Said contract shall provide for the prepa- ration of an audit in the form of the annual audits heretofore prepared by said auditor, and said auditor shall furnish the City of Paducah four (4) copies of said audit. SECTION 2. There is hereby transferred from Account No. 1400, Suits and Claims, the sum of u1,200.00 in order to provide the funds necessary for payment of the services of said auditor in making the audit provided for in Section 1 herein, and said fund shall be transferred to Account No. 2162, Annual Audit, from which account said auditor shall be paid. SECTION 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized to cause to be published in the Sun -Democrat a notice of the introduction of this ordinance and of the pro- posal to make the transfer of funds in the foregoing -Section, said notice to be published at least two weeks before this ordinance shall be put upon its final p: ssage. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be introduced at a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for public inspection for two weeks in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and it shall be in full force and effect .from and after its adoption.
