AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED:
"AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE WORK :MEEK AND RATES OF PAY OF EI•'IPLOYEES OF THE
STRE.3T DEPARTMENT AND THE CEI•lETERY DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY,
AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE
BOARD OF COMM SIONERS ON NOVEMBER 25, 1947.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the title quoted
above, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on November 25, 1947, be,
and the same is hereby, amended so that Section 1 as amended shall read as follows:
"SECTION 1. That all employees of the Street Department of the City of
Paducah who are employed on an hourly basis, or who may hereafter be employed
on that basis, shall work only forty (40) hours per week. Time and one-half com-
pensation shall be paid to each employee of the Street Department who is employed
in excess of forty (40) hours per week."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its adoption.
