S. M hways 45, 60, 62 and 68 throu;-h Paducah; and WIMEAS, the State highway Department's engineers have not yet determi e;mctly where the beltline is to be located in the southern part of Paducah, wi particular reference to crossing of the Cross Creek basin and of the Illinois Central Railroad tracks at Union Station; NO: IMEREr ORE, DE IT RESOLVED B -Z T I , 3CARD 0 M-:.:ISSIODm, Or ra CITY OF PADUCAH, _,ZYTUCIKY: That the State IIigbiay Departi:ient be assured of the gratitude of the City of Paducah for the consideration the state has already given this desirable hir-hway improvement; and That it is the desire of the --;card of Commissioners to cooperate in all proper :'rays with the State _Ii ftiay Dopar n.ient fog° the rapid completion of the entire beltlino, and That the Ioard of Corvnissioners recoi;wiend to the Highway Department that) it consider completinC the beltline in the southern section of the City of Paduca in t:,io parts, and That the ?Iighway Department be requested to make surveys as soon as possible for the construction of the beltline eastward on Jackson Street from maent;,,-Eighth Street to South `_tenty-first, and from T:+enty-first and Old ;'ay - field Road on Coaey and Circle Streets to the vicinity of Union Station, and That the State HiChway Department be urged to authorize construction of this new section of the beltlino in the 1950-1951 construction season, and That the -oard of Com--iscioners hereby pledges to provide its share of the riLht of :•gay costs, for such land as the proposed survey indicates is needed for the now hi--hrtay, and That a cony of this resolution be mailed to the Cohmiissioll- o -__ hwa ys of the State of = en tuc ky.
