ALLEN AND HIS WIFE, DESSIE ALLEN FOR CERTAIN REAL ESTATE LOCATED AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE INTER- SECTION OF TWELFTH AND BURNETT STREETS IN PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR USE AS A SITE FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A FIRE STATION; PRESCRIBING TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE AND PAYMENT THEREOF BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH SUBJECT TO SUCH TERMS AND CONDITIONS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah purchase from T. 0. Allen and his wife, Dessie Allen, for the sum of Twenty Four Hundred and Seventy -Five Dollars ($2,475.00) a certain tract or parcel of real estate located at the northwest corner of the intersection of 12th and Burnett Streets in Paducah, Kentucky, for use as a site for construction of a fire station, said property being more par- ticularly described as follows, to -wit: "Beginning at the northwest corner of the intersection of 12th and Burnett Streets; thence in a northerly direction and along the west property line of Burnett Street 129.4 feet; thence at right angles and in a westerly direction 134.6$ feet to the line of a 15 foot alley; thence in a southerly direction and parallel with Burnett Street 13$.75 feet to the north prooerty line of 12th Street; thence in an easterly direction and with the north property line of 12th street 135 feet to the point of beginning. Being in all respects the same property conveyed to T. 0. Allen by deed dated February 8, 1945, and of record in Deed Book 230, page 508, in the office of the County Court Clerk of McCracken County, Kentucky." that the aforesaid property shall be conveyed to the City of Paducah by the said T.O.Allen and his wife, Dessie Allen, by a good and sufficient deed free of all encumbrances and defects and free and clear of taxes to and including those for thel year 1950, said deed to contain a Covenant of General Warranty of title. i SECTION 2. The sum of $2,475 to be paid for the property described in Section 1 of this ordinance shall be charged to the contingent fund and the City Manager and the City Treasurer are hereby aut#orized to deliver to said T. 0. Allen and hisl wife, Dessie Allen a check payab le to them in said amount upon delivery to the Cit Manager of a deed to said property according to the terms and conditions described in Section 1 of this ordinance. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced at a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for public inspection for one week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. As it is immediately necessary to exercise the option for the purchase of the above describe( property and the protection of the properties in the City of Paducah against loss by fire requires the establishment of a new fire station on said property with as little delay as possible, the public health and safety requires that this ordinance 372 shall be immediately effective, an emergency is hereby declared, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
