HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 368, No Ordinance NumberAN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE NUMBER, RANKS AND MONTHLY SALARIES OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: Passed by the Board of Commissioners May 8, 1951 Recorded by Sarah Thurman, City Clerk, May 8, 1951. SECTION 1. The number and ranks of members of the Police Department of the City of Paducah, and their monthly salaries, provided said salaries are not changed by any annual apportionment ordinance adopted hereafter, shall be as follows: Number of Monthly Position Positions Salary Chief of Police 1 $305.00 Asst. Chief of Police 1 250.00 Chief Detective 1 245.00 Captain 4 235.00 Lieutenant 4 230.00 Jailer 1 225.00 Sergeant 5 225.00 Policemen 33 220.00 Provided, however, that a new member of this Department, during his first year of service, shall receive a salary of $210.00 per month, and upon com- pletion of a year of satisfactoryrservice, as determined by the City Manager an recommendation of the Chief of Police, his monthly salary shall be increased to the applicable amount shown above. SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION 3.
