HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 356, No Ordinance NumberAN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF THE MOLLOY IMPLEMENT COMPANY FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF ONE H. G. CLETRAC TRACTOR AND 22A OLIVER MOWER FOR USE IN THE FLOODWALL DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE THEREOF BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: I SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of the Molloy Implement Company in the amount of $2,624.64 for the sale of one (1) H. G. Cletrac Tractor with ten (10) inch track temperature guage power take -off, starter, lights muffler and swinging seat 68 inch track width, and one (1) 22A Oliver Heavy Duty Mower with high cutting attachment, two complete blades, sickle knives, seven feet long. 24 extra sections and 24 guards (rock type) and all necessary parts to connect mower to tractor, as said tractor and mower are described in said companyts bid dated January 31, 1951. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to enter into and execute, for and on behalf of the City of Paducah, a contract for the purchase of said machines, provided that said contract may contain all of the terms, conditions and agreements as set forth in said companyts bid togehher with such additional conditions and covenants which the City Manager may deem necessary. SECTIONS This ordinance shall be introduced at a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. Because of the immediate need for said tractor and mower in the maintenance of the floodwall of the City of Paducah, the public health and safety requires that this ordinance shall take immediate effect, an emergency is hereby declared and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect ,rom and after its adoption. ay r -- Introduced by the Board of Commissioners April 10, 1951 Passed by the Board of Commissioners April 24, 1951 Recorded by Sarah Thurman, City Clerk, April 24, 1951.
