AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED• "AN ORDINAI.0-E
PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF A PUBLIC ALLEY EXTENDING AN UNIFORM WIDTH OF 25
FEET IN A WESTERLY DIRECTION FROM THE WEST SIDE OF JOE CLIFTON DRIVE, OR TWENTY-
EIGHTH STREET, MIDWAY BETWEEN JEFFERSON STREET AND MONROE STREET, A DISTANCE OF
TWO HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE (225) FEET; AND AUTHORIZING THE CORPORATION COUNSEL TO
INSTITUTE IN THE McCRACKEN CIRCUIT COURT A SUIT FOR THE PURPOSE OF HAVING SAID
ALLEY LEGALLY CLOSED", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF C01414ISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH ON JANUARY 23, 1951
WHEREAS, under an ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, on January 23, 1951, a certain alley 252 feet in width
extending in a westerly direction from the west line of Joe Clifton Drive, or
Twenty -Eighth Street, was ordered to be closed, and through mistake and oversight
in the preparation of the description of the alley to be closed, it was referred
to as an alley 225 feet in length, when, in truth and in fact said alley extends
from the presently established west line of Joe Clifton Drive, or Twenty-eighth
Street, a distance of 230 feet;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COA'MISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the title quoted
above, which ordinance was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on January 23,
1951, be, and the same is hereby amended and re -ordained so that said section
as amended and re -ordained shall read as follows:
"Section 1. That the City of Paducah does hereby
authorize the closing of all of that 251 foot public
alley extending in a westerly direction from the west
line of Joe Clifton Drive, or Twenty-eighth street, a
distance of Two Hundred Thirty (230) feet, which alley
is located in the block midway between Jefferson
street and Monroe street and is more particularly
described as follows, to -wit:
"Beginning at a point in the west line
of.'Joe Clifton Drive, or Twenty-eighth
street, 152 feet north of the northwest
corner of the intersection of Joe Clifton
Drive and Jefferson Street; thence at
right angles and in a westerly direction
230 Feet; thence at right angles and in
a northerly direction 252 feet; thence
at right angles and in an easterly direc-
tion 230 feet to the west line of Joe
Clifton Drive; thence with the west line
Of Joe Clifton Drive and in a southerly
direction 252 feet to the point of
beginning."

3ECT10A: 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption,
