SPECIFIC TERMS AAM CONDITIONS TO BE COMPLIED WITH BY BIDDERS BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF C01,11ISSIONERS OF THE CITi OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to adver- tise for bids for the sale to the City of Paducah of three (3) I,lew 1-2 Ton PLotor Trucks with hudraulic dump body, to be complete with cab, over -load springs and oi: filters. Hach body to be of 22 yards water level capacity, sha-1 be constructed to allow for extension to increase capacity and shall be equipped with six inch cylinder hydraulic hoist. The wheel base of each truck shall be proper length to distribute the load on chassis, and each truck shall be equipped with disc wheels, dual rear with 700-20 10 -ply tires front and rear. 1Jach bidder shall state the amount acceptable in payment of the Pull purchase price in cash and shall submit a complete description showing the standard equipment of the trucks he proposes to sell, together with all of the auxiliary attachments. Said price to be f.o.b. Paducah, Kentucky. Each bidder shall also state in his bid the date on which he guarantees to deliver said trucks and shall agree to post a bond totalling 1Oja of the purchase price of said trucks, said amount of bond to be subject to forfeiture in event of failure to deliver within time specified in bid. SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by a notice posted up at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request for bids in at least one issue of the )un -Democrat. The notice shall be posted and published at least se ven days prior to the opening of 1,ids and no bid shall be opened within ten days from the date on which this resolution is adopted. No bid shall be received unless under seal, nor shall any bid be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of bids. All bids received by the City I;'.anager up to the time fixed in the notice shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let the contract to the lowest responsible bidder. The Board of Commissio ers shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids and the city shall not become lega,ly obligated to purchase said trucks until the adoption of an ordinancE authorizing the execution of a contract. SECTIOd 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
