HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 251, No Ordinance Number251 j AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE Ef:IPLO)MENT OF A CITY PHYSICIAN POP THE TREAT- MENT OF ALL INDIGENT WHITE CITIZEPIS OF TIIE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY; PRESCRIBIN, TIIE DUTIES TO BE PERFORMED BY THE CITY PHYSICIAN; FIXING THE AMOUNT OF HIS COP@PEN- SATION; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINAAdCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH BE IT ORDAINED BY THE 10ARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to employ a competent physician to give a sufficient amount of his time to the care and treat ment of indigent white citizens of the City of Paducah. It shall be the duty of the City Physician to perform all medical services and give such medical treatment as may be required by persons who are unable to pay for necessary medical aid and treatment. He shall maintain a schedule of office hours as may be approved by the City Mlanager and he shall also be subject to the direction and control of the City b:anager in the performance of his duties. SECTION 2. That the Board of Commissioners hereby ratify and approve the action of the City ?.tanager by employin a city physician at a salary of :;600 per month for services rendered by him beginning November 1, 1950, and the payment of a salary in that amount from November 1, 1950 to the date of the adoption of this ordinance. SECTIOU 3. The compensation of the City Physician shall be -.600 per month, the amount of said salary to be paid to him at the same time as the salaries of other city employees are paid. 4,3 SECTION 4.
