HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 245, No Ordinance NumberAN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FI14AL REPORT OF THE CITY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TO AMEND SECTIONS 4 AND 5 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: "Aid ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE CITY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMI.�SION PROVIDING FOR THE ZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BOUNDED ON THE NORTH BY AN ALLEY BETWEEN MADISON AND HARRISON STREETS, ON THE EAST BY THE PROPERTY LINE OF 24TH, STREET, ON THE SOUTH `_'Y AN ALLEY BETNE�I MONROE AND JEFFERSON STREETS AND ON THE WEST BY THE PROPERTY LIi, OF 28TH STREET, THE SAME BEING I{IOWN AS THE TMALLORY SUB -DIVISION', AS SHO:dN BY PLAT PREPARED BY J. H. BANES, SURVEYOR ON OCTOBER 1939, AS AN EXCLUSIVE RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT OR ZONE AND PRESCRIBING THE PENALTY TO BE IMPOSED FOR VIOLATION OF THE RESTRICTIONS SET FORTH IN A RESOLUTION ADOPTED BY THE CITY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION ON THE 24TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1939", AND AMENDING SECTIONS 4 AND 5 OF SAID ORDINANCE WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY HE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON NOVEMBER 27, 1939, AND AMENDED ON MAY 20, 1947 WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended the amend- ment of Sections 4 and 5 of the aforesaid ordinance as shown by its final report embodied in a resolution adopted by it on January 8, 1951; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the aforesaid final report of the City Planning and Zoning Commission be approued, and 'that Sections 4 and 5 of an ordinance containing the title quoted above which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on November 27, 1939 and amended on May 20, 1947, be, and the same is hereby further amended so that said sections as amended shall read as follows: "Section 4. No residential lot shall be resuodivided into building plots having le ss than a fifty (50) foot width." "Section 5. No dwelling, costing less than 57500.00 shall be permitted to be constructed on any lot on either side of Monroe street between 24th and 28th streets, and no dwelling costing less than 15000.00 shall be permitted to be constructed on any lot on either side of Madison street between 24th and 25th streets, and no dwelling costing less than yp7500.00 shall be constructed on Madison street between 25th street and 28th street. The „round floor square foot area of a main structure, exclusive of one story porches and garages shall not be less than 850 square feet in the case of a one story structure, nor less than 750 square feet in the case of a one and one-half or two story structure." SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
