That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to employ a �I suitable person to act as Dog Catcher for the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and said dog catcher shall perform all of the duties necessary for the administration and L enforcement of all ordinances of the city relating to and regulating the keeping `l of dogs and the impounding of dogs not licensed as required by ordinance. He shal perform such duties as the City tanager may require of him for the impounding of dogs. SECTION 2. The Dog Catcher shall be an employee of the City of Paducah, being i removable from his position at any timeeither with or without cause, and he shall not acquire any rights or privileges under the rules of civil service governing other employees of the city. SECTION 3. The person appointed as Dog Catcher shall furnish his own automobile or truck for use in such work, as well as the fuel for its operation, and all of such work shall be done by him without any expense to the city other than the salary to which he will be entitled. He shall be paid for his services and for the use of his automobile or truck in such work the sum of 8175.00 per month, such salary to be paid to him at the same time as the salaries of other employees of the city are paid. SECTION 4. That the salary of the Dog Catcher is a current departmental expense and a sufficient amount for payment of such salary shall be provided for and appropriated for that purpose upon the adoption of the apportionment ordinance for the year 1951. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
