HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 227, No Ordinance Number227 v_/__ AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF TIME CI TY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED BY CHESTER HACK AND ITIS WIFE, LOUISE HACK, ON THE S0UTi3ERLY SIDE OF VIRGINIA STREET, DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY WHICH IS TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE CORPORATE LI1,1ITS OF T 'E CITY WIEREAS, under an ordinance adopted on August 22, 1950, the City of Paducah by and through its Board of Commissioners, proposed to extend the boundary of the City of Paducah by annexing certain property owned by Chester hack and his wife, Louise Hack, on the southerly side of Virginia Street; and WHEREAS, said ordinance declaring the desirability of extending the bound- ary as therein proposed has been published in ten issues of the official newspaper of said city; and WHEREAS, a period of more than thirty days has elapsed since the enactment of the aforesaid ordinance and no petition having been filed in McCracken Circuit Court protesting against the extension of the city limits as provided under Secti 81.110 of the Kentucky Revised Statutes: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COM-II53IONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the following described lands owned by Chester Hack and his wife, Louise Hack on the southerly side of Virginia Street, be annexed to and included within the corporate limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and that tte city limits be relocated by including within the corporate limits the following; described territory: "Beginning at a stake on the Southerly side of Virginia Street 160 feet east of the intersection of Virginia Street and the Pool Road; thence south 1 3/4 degrees west a distance of 157 feet to a stake, Tucker's Northwest corner; thence with Tuckerts north line south 82 1/4 degrees east a distance of 235 feet to a stake; thence on a new line north 1 3/4 degrees east 157 feet to the south line of Virginia Street; thence with Virginia Street North 80 1/4 degrees gest 235 feet to the point of beginninb." SECTION 2.
