HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 221, No Ordinance Number22 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTIONS 1 AND 2 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: "All ORDINANCE FURTHER REGULATING THE 1?E`.FTODS OF PAYING TAXES I_d THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KEUTUCKY, PROVIDING FOR PARTIAL PAYMENTS THEREOF ASID EXTENDIIIG TME TIr:IE FOR PAYING THE SECOND HALD YEAR'S TAXES UNDER SAID PARTIAL PAYMENT PLAN", 111HICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS 0111 MARCH 12, 1934, AND SECTION 1 THEREOF AS AMENDED BY TiE BOARD OF COM11ISSIO11TERS ON JANUARY 14TH, 1935 WHEREAS, under the ordinance containing the title quoted above, which ordinance was adopted on March 12th, 1934, and appears of record in Ordinance Book No. 9, at page 859, of the official records of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and under the amendment of Section 1 thereof which was adopted on January 14th, 1935, and of record in Ordinance Book 9, at page 916, a grace period was allowed for payment of city ad valorem taxes contrary to the provisions of IMS 92.590; and I'J EREAS, the time for payment of ad valorem taxes is fired by KRS 92.590 and the allowance of any grace period contrary to the provisions of this stqtute would be invalid; NO111 'HEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Sections 1 and 2 of an ordinance containing the title quoted above, which ordinance was adopted on March 12th, 1934 and Section 1 thereof as amended on January 14th, 1935, be, and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
