HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 205, No Ordinance Number205. 1 AN ORDCNANCE DECLARING MADIOSN STREET IN THE C ITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, A BOULEVARD FROM THE WEST LINE OF SECOND STREET TO THE EAST LINE OF TWENTY -;FIRST STREET, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE INTERSECTIONS OF FOURTH STREET, EIGIiTH STREET, THIRTEENTH STREET AND FOUNTAIN AVENUE OR SEVENTEENTH STREET; REQUIRING ALL VEHICLES TO STOP BEFORE ENTERING OR CROSSING', SAID STREET AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH OTHER STREETS; PRESCRIBING THE PENALTY FOR ANY VIOLATION THEREOF; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMP+?ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENNCKY: SECTION 1. That Madison Street in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, from the west line of Second Street to the east line of Fourth Street, from the west line o: Fourth Street to the East line of Eighth Street, from the west line of Eighth Street to the east line of Thirteenth Street, from the west line of Thirteenth street to the east 'nine of Fountain Avenue or Seventeenth street and from the west line of Fountain Avenue or Seventeenth Street to the east line of Twenty-first street be, and it is hereby declared to be and is established as a boulegard, and all vehicles of every kind approaching said street at its intersection with other streets shall come to a complete stop before proceeding to enter or to cross said street or boulevard. SECTION 2. Any person driving a vehicle or any person, firm, company or corporation operating a vehicle in violation of any provision of this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined not less than Five (;5.00) Dollars nor more than Twenty (ti'$20.00) Dollars for each offense. SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict hereby repealed. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
