HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 199, No Ordinance Number�CY'lEa NCD ED AN ORDINANCE 94MIDING SECTION 6 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO TRAFFIC AND REGULATING THE USE OF PUBLIC STREETS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH; DEFINING AND ESTABLISHING PARKING METER ZONES AND REGULATING AND CONTROLLING AND PROVIDING FOR INSPECTION OF THE TIME PARKING OF VEHICLES THEREIN BY THE USE OF PARKING METERS; prescribing limits of time for parking in PARKING METER ZONES; AND PROVIDING FOR ENFORCEMENT OF THIS ORDINANCE AND PUNISHMENT FOR ITS VIOLATION", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF C01-91ISSIONERS ON JULY 9, 1946 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That section 6 of an ordinance containing the title quoted above, which ordinance was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on July 9th, 1946, be and the same is hereby repealed, amended and reordained, so that said section as amended and reordained shall read as follows: "Section 6. It shall be unlawful for any person to cause, allow, permit or suffer any vehicle registered in his name or operated or controlled by him to be upon any street within a parking meter zone in any space adjacent to which a parking meter is installed, for more than One Hundred Twenty (120) consecutive minutes, or any time during which the meter is showing a signal indicating that such space is illegally in use --other than such time as is necessary to operate the meter to show legal parking --between the hours of 8 o'clock A.M. and 5 o1clock P.M. of any day, Sundays and legal holidays excepted." SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION 3.
