Iii 1MICH BIDS SHALL ADVERTISED FOR AND RECEIVED BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COI+IIcTISSI OVERS OF URE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY SECTION 1. Tnat the City I.Ianager be, and he is hereby authorized to adver- tise for bids for the sale of all buildings and improvements upon the property known as the Veterans Village located at 23rd and Ohio Streets in Paducah, Kentucky. Each bidder shall state the highest amount he is willing to pay for each building located in said village, or for the particular building he dishes to purchase. The full amount of the purchase price shall be paid in cash. It is to be understood by the bidders when submitting offers that apart- ments 1 through 15, buildings A. 3. C « D, apartments 49 through 51, building P, apartments 52 and 53 and building Q must be removed b./ January 15, 1951, and the remainder of the buildings located on said property must be removed by Larch 15, 1951. The successful bidder shall agree at the time of the acceptance of his bid that the building or buildings purchased by him, together with all appur- tenances and other improvements attached to or used as a part of any building, shall be completely removed from said property by the date fixed in this reso- lution, and the contract of sale shall contain such further provisions as will insure the City of Paducah of the complete possession pf said property not later than the dates provided herein. SECT1TLON 2. The City 1.4anager shall advertise for bids by a notice posted up at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request for bids in at least one issue of the Sun -Democrat. The notice shall be posted and published at least seven days prior to the opening of bids and no bid shall be opened within ten days from the date on which this resolution is adopted. No bid shall be received unless under seal, nor shall any bid be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the openin-,- of bids. All bids received by ti -,e City ;:ianager up to the time fixed in the notice shall be filed with the Loard of Commissioners who may let the contract to the highest and best bidder. The Loard of Commission era shall reserve the riht to reject any and all bids and they shall not become legally obligated to sell a building or any buildings until the adoption of an ordinance authorizinL_ such sale or sales. 177 SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
