A RESOLUTION RE"WESTING THE CITY I'APIAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR FIDS FOR UTE PURI CM3E OP THEE CITY'3 REQUIRMIENT OF ASPHALT FOR THE YEAR 1950 (APPROXIKA4 L1' 8 TO 12 CARLOADS) TO BE USED IN STREET CONSTRUCTION 101ORK. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, IE,NTdCKY: SECTION I. That the City P,Ianager be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the purchase of the cityls requirement of 1-2-3 M.C. Liquid Asphalt and R. C. 3 Liquid Asphalt for the year 1950 (approximately 8 -to 12 carloads), also minimum car C. A. 2 Asphalt Crack Filler. The bid price to be F.O.B. city track at 6th and Campbell Streets, Paducah, Kentucky. Asphalt to be delivered as ordered in 6500 gallon tank cars equipped with steam coils to heat, and said material must meet Kentucky State Highway specifications. He is requdsted to advertise by posting a notice at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request for bids in at least one issue of the Paducah Sun -Democrat. The notice shall be posted'and published at least seven days prior to the opening of bids and no bid shall be opened within ten (10) days from the date on which this resolution is adopted. No bid shall be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the openinlo; of bids. All bids received by the City I.1anager up to the time fixed in the notice for the opening of bids shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let the bid to the lowest responsible bidder or bidders. The right shall be reserved to reject any and all bids and all bids shall provide a guarantee against advance in .the market price, and also a reduction in price in the event of a decrease in the market price. SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
