LOVE -11N AS CITY IJADIAGi R OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY,Ai?D
EXPRESSING REGRET AS TO MIS RESIGNATION
WHEREAS, Mr. Glenn A. Lovern was appointed City Manager
effective as of August 15, 1953; and
WHEREAS, he has tendered his resignation as such, effective
on December 15, 1953, for the purpose of accepting appointment
to the position Of Commissioner of Welfare of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners
of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for and on behalf of its
menfoers, and for and on behalf of all officers, employees and
residents of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, does by this
Resolution, express appreciation and gratitude to fir. Lovern
for his valuable and efficient services as City Manager and
express sincere regret as to his resignation, and BE IT FURTHER
RESOLVED that it is the opinion of this Board that the Common-
wealth of Kentucky is fortunate in securing his services for
such an important office.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution
be given to the Paducah Sun Democrat and that a certified
copy of same be forwarded to i•Ir. Lovern by the City Clerk.
