That an ordinance containing the title quoted above, i which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on September 23, 1952, be amended and reordained so that said ordinance as amended and reordained shall read as follows: "SECTION 1. That the following days during each calendar year be designated as holidays on which all city employees, irith the exception of the PCO v' police and sire department personnel, will be granted a holiday: /)tel I I New Year4s Day (January 1) V �I ql ilashingtonts Birthday (February 22) Hemorial Day (I•iay 30) Independence Day (July 4.) D Labor Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day and such other holidays as may from time to time be designated by motion of the Board of Commissioners. If any of the days mentioned herein as holidays fall on Sunday the ne%t day thereafter shall be observed as a holiday. As soon as possible after any holiday, the police and fire department personnel shall be granted a leave of one (1) day to be selected i �I by the respective heads of the police department and fire department." 1 SECTION 2.
