HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 1262, No Resolution Number12x A RESOLUTIODi AUTHORIZING TIIE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE THE TII-E A14D PLACE OF A PUBLIC HEARING TO DETER1w1IHE WHETIIER OR !TOT THERE IS NEED FOR A t AIR POLLUTION CONTROL DISTRICT, UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF SENATE BILL IIO. 14.7 ADOPTED AT THE 1952 SESSION OF THE GENERAL ASSEEBLY OF THE COM1.10NWEALTII OF KEIITUCKY WHEREAS, the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, at its 1953 Session, enacted what is known as Senate Bill !To. 117 relating to the control and suppression of air pollution and providing for the creation of an Air Pollution Control District in each county; and whereas, a public hearing was held at the Court House in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, on August 13, 195.71by the Fiscal Court of i•IcCracken County, Kentucky for the purpose of determining whether or not there is a need for an Air Pollution Listrict to function in McCracken County, Kentucky; and WHEREAS, sai d Fiscal Court did, on said day, adopt a Resolution declaring a deed for such district. NO11 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF C01,114ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a public hearing be held in the Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky on the 29th day of September, 1953 at 7:30 o4clock P.M. for the purpose of determining whether or not there is need for an Air Pollut Control District to function under the authority conferred by the terms of Senate Bill No. 147 adopted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky at its 1952 Session. SECTION 2. notice of the time and place of such public hearin„ shall be published in the Paducah Sun -Democrat by the I•iayor and City Clerk at least one (1) time not less than fifteen (15) nor more than forty-five (4.5) days before such hearing. SECTION 3.
