I. gnat the City ;;anagen be, and he is hereby authorized to advertise for the purchase of 290 street name signs, said, signs to have ba',ed on enamel finishes on 18 gauge steel and to be on a G -inch blade with inch letters, white background with bloc,, letters and border, with fittings provided for both 2 -way and 4 -way assemblies; 134 two-inch standard new galvanized posts IO feet G inches in length; and, 63 two-way assemblies. Deltvery to be within 75 days from date the City accepts a bid for same by ordinance and prices quoted shall be unit price per sign, standard =7 assembly and shall be f.o.b. 9th and I,adison :Streets, Paducah 'entvcisy. SECTIO!,; 2.. Me City ,'=anager shall advertise for bids by posting a notice at the City Iloll door and by inserting notice of the request for dds in at least one (I) issue of the ScUn-Democrat. Sze notice shall be posted and published at least seven (7) days prior to the opening of: bids and no bid shall be opened within ten (10) days from the date on which this Resolution is adopted. 110 bid shall be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of bids. All bids received by the City i'ianager up to the time fixed in the notice for the opening of bids shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let the contract to the lowest and best responsible bidder. The Board of Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids and the City shall not become legally obligated to purchase said equipment until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution of a contract.
