SECTIOII 1, That Sections 3 and 4 of an ordinance containing the
title quoted above, which was adopted on, December, 30, 1937, and amended
on=:ovem7ber, 23, 1948 and October 15, 191;0, be ,further amended and re -
ordained so that said sections as amended an reordained shall read as
follows: AMD r[
"SECTIONS. The license tax required to be paid hereunder t1M
is as follows:
For each motorcycle-------------------------------------- :'1.00 12�
For each and every passenger vehicle --------------------- 5.00
For, each truck operated in the City of Paducah for
business or for hire, and for the purpose of raising
revenue for exercising regulation over said motor
tr�uoks and, for policing said city, and regulating
the traffic therein and :seeping i4 repair the public
ways thereof, there is therby levied and imposed,
and ordered to be collected from all persons, firms,
or corporations operating said motor trucks or,
trailers loading or unloading in the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, a license tax or privilege license on said
trucks and trailers as follows:
Rotor trucks and trailers of one ton or less
capacity---------------------------------------------5.00

F67-7each additional one-half ton or fraction

When trailers are attached to trucks or motor vehicles and
used for business, or for hire, in Paducah, the ton capacity or load
of such trailer shall be added to the ton capacity or load of said
truck for tls purpose of classifying said trucks into tonnage class.
The City Treasurer is authorized, empowered and directed to collect
the license tax provided herein, which tax shall be payable on or
before the first day of :;arch in each year. The tax upon, any vehicle
acquired and operated on or after -:'arch 1 in any calendar year, shall
be due and payable at the end of thirty (30) days from the date it
was acquired. The license certificate or stir%:err, issued bti the Citzi
Treasurer shall be displayed in the lower, right corner of the wirdshiel:

on the licensed', vehicle.
"SuCTIOW 4. Any person, corporation or company acquiring
a motor vehicle after the first day of February shall pay the pro -
rata portion of the license tax, but in no event shall such license
tax be for a less period of time than six (G) months. Possession of
a state license or license tag shall be conclusive evidence of ownership
and operation of any automobile coming under the provisions of this
ordinance.
"It shall be vnlawJ71 for any person., corporation or company
to transfer from one motor vehicle to another any license issued
pursuant to the provisions of this ordinance, and whenever any motor
vehicle for which a license has been issued changes ownership, such
license shall remain on said motor vehicle as a part thereof until
the expiration of the year in which some was issued."
3-CTIC; H. _Ul ordinances or parts of onSinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTICI'3. This ordinance sha11 be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
