HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 1233, No Ordinance NumberAN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR 473E MPLOYMENT OF LEE POTTER SI,7TH, ARCFTITECK OF PADUCAH, KEWTUCKY, TO PREPARE PLANS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SINGLE V TT FIRE STATION ON JACKSON STREET NEAR THE LONE OAK ROAD; AUTHORIZING 4TIE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT OF EMPLO2711 NT FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH; AND PRESCRIBING ME TERMS AND CONDITIONS TO BE CONTAINED IN SAID CONTRACT BE IT ORDAIIJED BY THE BOARD OF COMIā€¢IISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY.- SECTION ENTUCKY. SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah employ Lee Potter Snith, Architect of Paducah, Kentucky, to farnish complete architectural service, excluding supervision of the construction of the proposed single unit fire station on Jackson street near Lone Oak. Road in Paducah, Kentucky, costing.00,000.00 or less for a total fee of $995.00; such services being generally described as follows: 1. Approximate 30? setback with concrete drive. 2. Electric overhead door 3. Equipment room for truck and hose rack (bench) 4. Walk-in door at rear of equipment room 5. Concrete block with brick veneer for exterior walls 6. Concrete floor throughout 7. Utility room for heating, hot water, ect. 8. Gas fired warm air heating system 9. Kitchen to be large enough to permit dining 10. Ceilings to be dry wall construction 11. Ten Lockers provided for firemen 12. Dormitory with provisions for sleeping for five men 13. Building to be residential in character with architectural style yet to be determined 14. Appearance to harmonize with neighborhood 15. Preliminary plans and elevations to be farnished for the Board of Commissioners' information and approval 16. Architectural service and payment of fee to be as established by the standard American Institute of Architects Owner -Architect Agreement. SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paducah, ientucky all necessary con -- tracts providing for the employment set out in Section 1. SECTION 3.
