HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 123, No Ordinance Number123 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE OFFER OF 'RIE PADUCAH 71ATER WORKS IN THE SUN OF ,;?2,500.00 FOR THE PROPERTY AT THIRD AND MADISON STREETS IN PADUCAH, IENTUCKY, KNOIdN AS THE 11S1,4TH BUSINESS COLLEGE PROPERTY"; PROVIDING FOR THE DEDICATION OF SAID PROPERTY FOR THE USE AND BENEFIT OF THE C0181ISSIONERS OF WATER WORILS; AND AUTHORIZING THE -!,AYOR AND CITY CLERK, FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER TO THE COM19IISSIONERS OF NATER -JORKS A DEED OF DEDICATION TO SAID PROPERTY WHEREAS, the Commissioners of 'Vater V'lorks have submitted to the City of Paducah an offer in the sum of $2,500.00 for the purchase of a triangular parcel of ground at Third and ivladison streets in the City of Paducah known as the "Smith Business College Property", the same to be used as a site for a warehouse and garage; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COI,Ii ISSIONERS OF THE CI`f"Y Or PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the offer of the Commissioners of Water corks in the sum of 12,500.00 for that certain triangular strip of ground located at Third and Madison streets in Paducah, Kentucky, known as the "Smith Business College Property", the same to be used as a site for a warehouse and garage, and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and empowered, for and on behalf of the city of Paducah, to execute and deliver a deed of dedication to said property for the use and benefit of the Commissioners of '.Vater 4 orks.
