SECTIOII I. That the City lvanager be, and he is hereby,
authorized to advertise for bids for the sale to the City of Padztc
of Pumping and Associated Equipment for Drainage Pump Statt6n !�Io.
at the outlet end of 'nest End Storm Relief Sewer, Project ICy 15-Cl
as same is described and designated in the specifications on file &�
the office of the City Engineer of Paducah, Isentucky. Each bidder
shall be required to deposit a cdshier's check, certified check or
other acceptable payment in an amount net less than 5,i" of the bid
submitted as a guarantee the successful bidder will promptly contract
withtthe city and furnish a performance bond.
SECTIOIJ 2. The City .'•:anagen shall advertise for bids
be a notice posting at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the
request for bids in at least one (1) issue of the Sun Democrat. The
notice shall be posted and published at least seven (7) days prior to
the opening of bids and no bid shall be opened within ten(IO) days
from the date on which this Resolution is adopted. ::'o bid shall be
received unless under seal, nor shall any bid be received after the hour
fixed in the notice for the opening of aids. .111 bids received n, the
City ;:anagen up to the time fixed in the notice shall be filed with
the Board of 600nissioners who may let the contract to the lowest and
best bidder. The Board of COMMissioners shall reserve the right to
reject any and all bids and shall not become legally obligated to acre-)
any bid until the adoption of a;-.. ordinance a?:thorizing such acceptance.
This Resolzztion shall be in JZaII force and e.T'fect
