SECTION 1. Mat the Acting City 14anager be, and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the sale to the City of Paducah of the following: 1.- Span wire suspension 3 -color 4 -way traffic light. 2-- Combined master and intersection controller to be placed at 5th and Broadway in Paducah, Kentucky to control seven (7) secondary controllers to be placed at the seven (9) intersections. 7- Secondary Controllers Me secondary controllers:are to be regulated from the master controller and so adjusted to allow an uninterrupted flow of trafficon Broadway at 15 miles per hour and at 19 miles per hour on cross streets. The controllers to be equipped with a single timing dial and to be complete with pole hangers and straps for mounting. The successful bidder is to provide an engineer to check the entire installation. Each bidder shall state in his bid the length of time required for delivery after a contract is awarded. SECTION 2. The Acting City Nanager shall advertise for bids by a notice posted up at the city hall door and by inserting notice of the request for bids in at least one issue of the San -Democrat. The notice shall be posted and published at least seven days prior to the opening of bids and no bid shall b= opened within ten days from the date on which this resolution is adopted. No bid shall be received unless under seal, nor shall any bid be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of bids. All bids received by the Acting City Manager up to the time fixed in the notice shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners uh o may let the contract to the lowest responsible bidder. The Board of Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids and the City shall not become legally obligated to purchase said equipment until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution of a contract. SECTION S.
