FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF A BOOKKEEPING MACHINE FOR USE IPI THE
DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONTRACT TO PURCHASE SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CONMIi SSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
That the City of Paducah accept the bid of The National Cash
Register Company in the amount of ;?5,670.00 for the sale to the City of one (1)
new National Cash Register Bookkeeping Pachine No. 31-10-10(1$) 261, SIP, 7RB, to
be used by the Finance Department to post cash receipts and disbursements, distri
ad valorem taxes, payroll disbursements and withholding, typewritten reports for
the City Manager showing departmental expenditures and detail braakdovm of revenu
and the billing of ad valorem taxes.
That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to purchase, for and on behalf of the City of Paducah, said bookkeeping machine
public inspection for at least one (1) week in the completed form in which it
shall be put upon its final passage, but it being necessary for the Department
of Finance to have said bookkeeping machine at the earliest possible date so that
the work of said department may be carried on without delay, an emergency is here
by declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
