TRIPLE C014BINATION CLASS '!A" PUMPER; FIRE HOSE; PORTABLE GENERATOR; FIREMEN'S TURNOUT COATS, SAFETY HELMETS AND BOOTS; AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CON- DITIONS UNDER WHICH SAID PURCHASES SHALL BE MADE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION I. That the Acting City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to advertise for bids for the purchase of one (1) 750 G.P.H. Tripple Combination Class "All Pumper; 3000 feet of 22 inch fire hose; 1000 feet 12 inch fire hose; 1000 feet 3/4 inch booster hose; one (1) 1500 watt Portable Generator; 30 firemen's "turnout"coats; 30 firemen's safety helmets. and 30 pair of firemen's boots. Specifications for all items mentioned above may be secured at the office of the Chief of the Fire Department. Each bidder shall submit his lowest and best bid for the sale of any or all items mentioned in this Section, and each bid shall be accompanied by complete detail specifications. SECTION 2. The Acting City Manager shall advertise for bids by posting a notice at the City Hall door and by inserting notice for the request for bids in at least one issue of the Sun -Democrat. The notice shall be posted and published at least seven (7) days prior to the opening of bids and no bids shall be opened within ten (10) days from the date on which :this resolution is adopted. No bid shall be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of bids. All bids received up to the time fixed in the notice for the opening of bids shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let the contract to the lowest responsible bidder or bidders. The Board of Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids and the City of.Paduoah shall not be legally obligated to purchase any of said equipment or material until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution of a contract.
