SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF A STREET SWEEPER AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY 14ANAGER
TO CONTRACT TO PURCHASE SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY;
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Emmett C. Watson
Company, Incorporated in the amount of $9,6$7.50, less cash discount of 2p -
10 days from date of invoice, for sale to the City of One (1) Wayne Model 1-450
3 cu. yd., Motor Street Sweeper.
SECTION 2. •.That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to enter
into a contract for the purchase'of said sweeper, for and on behalf of -the City
of Paducah, pursuant to the provisions of Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced at a meeting of the Board
of Commissioners and remain on file for public inspection for at least one week
in the completed form in which it shall be pu.t'upon its final passage, but it
being necessary for the Department of Public Works to be furnished with said
sweeper at the earliest possible date in order that the streets may be kept
in a clean and sanitary manner, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and
this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
