HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 1170, No Ordinance NumberAN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF BRANDEIS MACHINERY CORPORATION FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF A BULLDOZER SHOVEL AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONTRZCT TO PURCHASE SAME BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Brandeis Machinery Corporation in the amount of 0$,562.00 for sale to the City of one (1) new International Model TD -9 Tractor equipped with Model 9-A Hough Shovel, said price being the difference between the sale price for same and the trade-in value allowed for the D4 Tractor now owned by the City. SECTION 2. That the City Manager. be, and he is hereby; authorized for and on behalf of the City of Paducah, to enter into a contract for the purchase of said equipment, pursuant to terms to be subsequently agreed to by the Board of Commissioners. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced at a meeting of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for public inspection for at least one week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, but it being necessary for the Department of Public Works to have said equipment at the earliest possible date so that the work of said department may be carried on without delay, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
