HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 1165, No Ordinance Number1165 AN ORDINANCE PROPOSING ANNEXATION AND DECLARING THE DESIRABILITY AND NECESSATY OF EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY BY ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY ADJACENT TO THE RIVER OAKS SUBDIVISION WEST OF 32ND STREET, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF THAT TERRITORY PROPOSED TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY .BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. It is hereby proposed that certain territory adjacent to and north of the River Oaks Subdivision in the City of -Paducah, Kentucky, a more particular description of which is.as follows, be annexed to the City of Paducah, Kentucky:' "Beginning at a stone, the Northwest corner of property known as River Oak Sub -division, and the Northwest corner of property of said Sub- division annexed to the City of Paducah September 23, 1952, said point being in the south line of Minnich Avenue; thence across Minnich Avenue and in•a line parallel with 32nd Street N 46 deg. 45 min. west 50 feet to the North line of AIinnich Avenue; thence North 42 deg. 43 min. and 42 sec. East with the North line of Minnich Avenue 472.17 feet to a stone* thence North 11 deg. 44 min. and 48 sec. West 401 feet to a stone; thence north 87 deg. 15 min. and 12 sec. E. 128.21 feet to a stone in the 1927 City Limits line; thence S. 3,deg. 54 min. and 222 sec. East 256.73 feet; thence south 46 deg. 45 min. East with the 1927 City Limit line 107.39 feet to a point in the South line of Minnich Avenue in the City Limit line establishef September 23, 1952; thence S 42 deg. 43 min.. and 42,sec. West with said 1952 City Limit line 625 feet to the point of beginning." SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published in at least ten issues of the Sun -Democrat, the official newspaper of the City of Paducah, and the extension of the City Limits as herein proposed shall not become effective until the adaption of an ordinance annexing the above described territory as herein proposed, and'such ordinance shall not be adopted until the expiration of 30 days after the passage of this ordinance 'and ti[e publication thereof as required by law.
