A RESOLUTION RATIFYING, APPROVING AND CONFIRMIING THE EMPLOYMENT OF
ARCHITECTS FOR THE PADUCAH INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that the City of Paducah at the instance and
request of the Paducah Independent School District will issue bonds, the pro-
ceeds of which will be used to defray the cost of new school construction and
land acquisition therefor, and
WHEREAS, under provisions of the Kentucky Revised Statutes title to the
properties w•till become vested in the City of Paducah and such
properties will
be leased by said School District from said City,.and
WHEREAS, said School District has heretofore employed D.,Clarence Wilson
and the firm of G. Tandy and Lee.Potter Smith as architects for.certain buildings
soon to be constructed, and
WHEREAS, the.Superintendent of Public Instruction has approved the
selection, and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of'the aforesaid statutes such selection
and employment should be ratified by the City of Paducah,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COM-IISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
.PADUCAH:
Section I. That the employment of D. -Clarence Ililson asarchitect in
connection with the construction of the proposed new high school building in
the Paducah Independent School District be, and it is hereby, ratified,.
approvedand confirmed.
Section II.. That the employment of the firm of G. Tandy and Le e. Potter
Smith as architects in connection with the construction of the proposed new
Southside Colored Elementary School and the Downtown Central White Elementary
School in the Paducah Independent School District be, and it is hereby;
ratified, approved and confirmed.
Section III. This resolution shall be.in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
