HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 1149, No Resolution Number1149- A RESOLUTION IN OPPOSITION TO PROPOSED LEGISLATION AFFECTING SLUM CLEARANCE AND URBAN REDEVELOPMENT BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY.- SECTION ENTUCKY. SECTION .i. That proposed legislation in the form of a rider, to the Independent Offices Appropriation Bill now before the Hou; e of Representatives of the United States Congress, the effect of which would be to disallow contributions other than cash in determining the net liability of municipalities on Slum Clearance and Urban Redevelopment projects, is not in keeping with the best interests of the municipalities or such projects generally, and should therefore be opposed. SECTION 2. That this resolution be certified to all Senators and Representatives from the State *of Kentucky with the request that they exercise their votes and influence to bring about the defeat of the said rider.
