AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED
"AN ORDIA/ANCE CREATING AND DEFINING A SANITARY DIVISION FOR THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, CREATING POSITIONS AND SALARIES FOR EMPLOYEES IN SAID
DIVISION; PROVIDING SAID POSITIONS SHALL NOT BE UNDER CIVIL SERVICE

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C0117IISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAFI, KENTUCKY.
SECTI01I1. That Section 2 of an ordinance containing the title
quoted above, which was adopted on December 23, 1952 and amended on
January 13, 1953, be, and the same is hereby, amended and reordained
so that said section as amended shall read as follows:
"SECTION 2. That in order to perform the duties of refuse
collection and disposal as defined in the'Refuse Collection and Dis-
posal Ordinance" there is hereby createdt7n following number of
positions of employment at the rate of pay specified:

22 Laborers 1.17
The hourly wages herein provided are for a regular work week of
44 hours and wages shall be paid on a straight time basis rap to and
including said 44 hours. The salaries of persons appointed to said
positions shall be paid at the same time and in the same manner as the
salaries of other city employees are paid. The sum of ,1340 per month.,,
payable to the Superintendent, as herein provided, shall be retroactivel',
effective and payable as of January 1, 1953."
SECTION 2. All ordinances and.parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from.
and after its adoption.
