HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 1069, No Resolution Number1069 A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE ROUTE OF A PROPOSED SANITARY SEWER ON OR NEAR PARK AVENUE IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, DESIGNATING THE CHARACTER AND EXTENT OF THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT AND FECLARING SAI+i'E TO BE A NECESSITY WHEREAS, pursuant to KRS 94.291 to 94.325 the City of Paducah has general authority to make public improvements, including improvements and extensions of sanitary sewers, and the City of Paducah being desirous of extending a certain sanitary sewer near Park Avenue and the Belt Line Highway so as to extend said sewer West on Park Avenue to 32nd street and thence south on 32nd Street to Mintiich Avenue; NOM, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COIvTISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH THAT SECTION 1. It is desirable that the Park Avenue sanitary sewer be extended from its present ending between the Beltline Highway and 28th Street so as to extend same along Park Avenue west to the intersection of 32nd Street and thence south along 32nd street to Plinnich Avenue, said sewer to be a fifteen -inch sanitary sewer which will extend a distance from its present ending on Park Avenue of approximately 4,181 feet to 32nd Street and from there said sewer to be a twelve -inch sanitary sewer extending a distance of approximately 500 feet to Minnich Avenue. It is hereby declared that the foregoing improvement is a necessity. SECTION 2. This resolution shall be published in at least one issue of the Paducah Sun -Democrat at least 30 days before the passage of an ordinance providing for the making and financing of said improvement as provided in KRS 94.291 to 94.325. SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
