HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 1017, No Ordinance Number1017 AN ORDII�A[VCE PROVIDING FOR THE TEI&ORARY EILPLOIXONT OF ONE LICEIJSE CLERK IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY TREASURER; FIXING THE LENGTH OF' "PLO YEI•IEIIT AND PRESCRIBING TFC DUTIES AMID C010ENSATOAI THr^,REOF WHEREAS, the City Treasurer's office is in need of a temporary or seasonal employee to assist with the issuance of motor vehicle license for the City of Paducah, and GIIIEREAS, the need for this employee is temporary or seasonal due to this being the season of the year when new licenses are issued by the City of Paducah. NOW MR;FORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COITYIISSIOIVERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY SECTION 1. That the City Tanager be, and he is hereby authorized to ap- point a suitable person to be employed in the office of the City Treasure?- to reasurerto be known as a license clerk, at a salary of 5''180.00 per month, whose duties shall be to assist the City Treasurer in issuing automobile license and such other work as may be required by said City Treasurer in the operation of his office. The above position shall be filled until the Ist day of April, 1953, unless prior to said time the need for said position no longer exists. This effployment is temporary or seasonal, as provided in KRS 90.300, the employee employed to fill said position under this ordinance shall acquire no rights under the rules of Civil Service governing employees in cities of the second class. The person filling said position shall be under the direction and control of the City Treasurer in the performance of the duties of said position, and the salary shall be paid from funds allocated to the Finance Department for payment of salaries. SECTION 2.
