HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 11, Page 82, No Resolution Number82/ A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE GRADE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE BELT LINE HIGHWAY IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, ACCORDING TO THE PLANS OF THE DE- PARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS OF THE COMMONViEALTH OF KENTUCKY WHEREAS, the Department of Highways of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, proposes the construction of a highway extending from Twenty-eighth and Broadway and thence in a westerly direction to a junction with US 45, a distance of approximately 1.1 miles and that the greater portion of this proposed work lies within the corporate limits of Paducah, and that the grade will be revised to a certain extent on existing streets; and, VvBEREAS, the Department of Highways is acting solely as ab agent of the City of Paducah, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COIRAISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the grade for the construction of a highway extending from Twenty-eighth and Broadway and thence in a westerly direction to the junction of US Highway 45, which grade is shown on the approved plans of the Depart- ment of Highways be, and the same is hereby adopted as the official grade between the limits hereinabove mentioned. SECTION 2. That the City of Paducah assume all responsibility for damages to abutting property which might be incurred as a result of the aforesaid con- dtruction, so long as the work is performed prudently and in accordance with good engineering practice and in accordance with the plans hereinabove referred to. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
