SECTION 1. That the 1948 edition of the Kentucky Standard
of Safety as set forth at length in tl;is ordinance, is hereby adopt d
by the City of Paducah as and for the minimum standards of the City
of Paducah to protect life and property against exigencies of fire
and panic by regulating the design and construction of buildings,
by providing standards for safeguarding against the more common fir
hazards, by providing minimum requirements for public and private
care and cleanliness, and by re_-ulating the operation and maintenan e
of certain occupancies which have a direct bearing on general safet
of life and property. Said 3tandards,?T Safety are set forth at
length in subsequent sections of thia.b.0dinance, which sections are
numbered from 100 to 2617 but not consecutively, this being the
numLeringsystem used in the printed copies of said Standards of
Safety.
