HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 11, Page 675, No Ordinance NumberAN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF A DEED CONVEYING TO JOHN H. MEYER A LOT ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF MADISON 1STREET 50 FEET WEST OF THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF 21ST AND MADISON STREET, IN PADUCAH, KENPUCKY WHEREAS, under an ordinance adopted by the Board of Commis- sioners on November 20, 1945, as will be shown by said ordinance of (record in Ordinance Book 10, page 1247, in the office of the City (Clerk of Paducah, Kentucky, the City of Paducah accepted the offer of John H Meyer in the sum of $150.00 for the purchase of a 50 foot lot located 50 feet west of the southwest corner of the intersectio of 21st and Madison Streets and authorized the Mayor and the City !Clerk to execute and deliver to him a deed of conveyance to said property; and, WHEREAS, by deed dated November 20, 1945, the City of Paducah conveyed the above described lot to the said John H. Meyer; and WHEREAS, said deed was never recorded and has since been Ilost: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH: SECTION 1. That for the purpose of vesting in the said John H. Meyer by a deed of conveyance the title to the above described lot or parcel of land, the Mayor, whose signature shall be attested by the City Clerk, is hereby authorized and empowered to execute an deliver to the said John H. Meyer a deed to the above described lot or parcel of land to replace the aforesaid deed of November 20, 194 which has been lost. SECTION 2.
