MENT OF THE PROVISIONS OF THE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONTROL W1. (i WHEREAS, under an ordinance of January 11th, 1949 repealing Sections 22, 23 and 24 of an ordinance adopted on May 14th, 1940 an, amended on March 25, 1947, relating to the granting of licenses for selling, dispensing, manufacturing and dealing In alcoholic and malt beverages and providing regulations for the conduct of such . businesses, the position of City Alcoholic Beverage Administrator has been abolished; and WHEREAS, said ordinance was adopted as an economy measure; and WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable to impose upon another officer of the City of Paducah without expense to said city the duties of the Alcoholic Beverage Pdministeator as cities of the second class are now authorized to do under the provisions of Section 1 of Chapter 108 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1948; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COI:?t,':ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KEN"I,=f: SECTION 1. That it shall be the duty of the Mayor of the City of Paducah, or during his absence while unable to attend to the duties of his office, it shall be the duty of the Mayor Pro Tem to administer and enforce in and for the City of Paducah all of they provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of l Kentucky adopted at its regular session in 1936, known as the "Alcoholic Beverage Control Law" regulating the business of set dispensing, manufacturing and dealing in alcoholic and malt bev as well as the provisions of all amendments thereto; and to enforce and administer all of the provisions of an ordinance relating, to an regulating the granting of licenses for selling, dispensing, manu- facturing and dealing in alcoholic and malt beverages in the City o Paducah, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on the 14th day of May, 1940, as will be shown by said ordinance of record in Ordinance Book No. 10, at page 251 of the official records of said city, together with the provisions of all amend- ments to the aforesaid ordinance; and the Mayor, or the Mayor Pro Tem, during the formers absence and inability to attend to the duties of his office, shall have the same powers and shall perform the same duties which have heretofore been vested in and imposed upon the City Alcoholic Beverage Administrator. F1 632 SECTION 2. The Mayor, or the Mayor Pro Tem, shall not receive any additional compensation for his services in the adminis tration and enforcement of the laws and ordinances relating to the granting of licenses for and regulating the business of selling alcoholic and malt beverages. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after February 1, 1949.
