PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: 0 N �l SEC TI ON 1. �a That upon the recommendation and request of the City Planni�g ana Zoning Commission as shown by its final report embodied in a resolution adopted by it on hpril 18, 1947, the following describ property on the South side of Jefferson Street is hereby declared to be a business district within the meaning of the City Planning and Zonina Commission Law. "All of the property lyinr, on the South side of Jefferson Street from the Slest property line of LaBelle Avenue to the Last property line of 32nd Street and extending back for depth to the line of the present business zone as established on Broadway or Buckner Lane Road." SECTION 2. In order to further promote the general welfare of the people in said district or zone and to enhance the desirability of same, all property within said area is subject to the following restrictions: (1) That no business building be permitted to be constructed on any of said property that will cost less than ;,8500.00. (2) That no building permit be issued by the Building Inspector within the boundaries of the district described above until the design, location and type of said building be submitted to and approved by the City Planning and Zoning Board. SEC TION 3. Any property owner, tenant or other person who erects, constructs or reconstructs any building in violation of or contrar), to the aforesaid provisions of .this ordinance shall be deemed guilt of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not less than '10.00 nor more than -'x.100.00 for each offense so committed, and each day such offense is committed shall be deemed a separate offense and shall be subject to a separate penalty unde the provisions hereof, or the person so offending or so guilty of violation of the provisions hereof, may, in addition tosuch fine be imprisoned not more than fifty (50) days at the discretion of the Judge or Jury trying the case. 62 SECTION 4. If any section or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative or ineffective for any cause, the invalidity of such section or provision shall not affect any other section or provision of this ordinance, it being the purpose of this ordinance to make each and every section and Provision hereof separable from all other sections and provisions. SECTION 5.
