That Section 3 of an ordinance containing the title quoted above be and the same is hereby repealed', amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained sn-all read as follo:'s; ";EOTI0.I 3. That the salaries of the City Treasurer, the City Engineer and the Street Superintendent be increased to ,,;200.00 per month effective as of ?:ay 1st, 1943; that the salary of the Social !'.orker be increased to .•r70.CO per month, the same to be retroactively effective beg,inninZ, January 1st, 1948, but all sums heretofore paid to -her for the use of her auto- mnbile since January 1st, 1948, shall be deducted from the salary to which she is entitled under this ordinance; and that from and after L'ay lst, 1948, no allowance shall be :?made by the city to the Social 'aorl.er, either of the City Physicians, the Iuildin- Inspecto , the-lectrical inspector, the City Engineer, or any other employee of the City for traveling or for the use' of his personal car in the transaction of local official business, except that the Deputy Treasurer shall be paid 5g per mile actually traveled in his or:n car nhile transacting- local official business, said.traveling expense for the remainder of the year 1948 shall not exceed 100.00 SECT • 0;: 2. There is hereby transferred the sum of ;100.00 from account Uo. 6400 provided for the maintenance of the floodwall to Account No. 2159, the appropriation to the Deputy Treasurer, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to cause to be publish3d in the Sun Democrat a notice of the introduction of this ordinance and the proposal to make the aforesaid transfer of appropriation in order to provide the funds necessary for payment of the Deputy Treasurers travelin^ expense, said notice to be published at least one week tef ore this ordinance shall be out upon its final passage. 3 r,3 SEC TIO[ 3.
