AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE AMEHDMiENT OF THE LEASE
ENTERED INTO BETWEEN THE MICHAELS ART BRONZE COMIPANY, IIICORI-ORATED,
AND THE CITY OF PADUCAH FOR T:HE LEASING OF 200 IdI-CO PARKING METERS

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMI,5SIOWERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the lease be entered into between Michaels
Art Bronze Company, Incorporated, and the City of Paducah, Kentuck3
providing for the leasing to said city of 200 Ili -Co Parking ;:,eters
authorized under an ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners
on I,:ay 18, 1948 a s said ordinance appears of record in Ordinance
Book 11, page 534 of the official records of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, be and the same is hereby amended by including Section li
immediately following Section 17 of said lease, which shall read as
follows:
"(17a) In the event, notwithstandinC due diliEence on its par
the Company is delayed in making delivery of the meters withir.
the time herein specified by reason of strikes, loc:-:outs or
labor troubles, fire, flood, storm or other casulaty or act
of God, transportation, material or labor shortage, war or
riot, or any other cause whatsoever beyond the control of
the Company, then the Company shall not be liable for any
such delay in delivery and the time for delivery provided
for by this paragraph shall be postponed accordingly."
SECTION 2. That Stuart Johns.ton, Mayor Pro Tem (the I,ayor
)eing absent from the city on account of illness and unable to
)erform his duties) and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and
!mpowered to enter into and execute the aforesaid lease for the
:ity of Paducah by incorporating therein the aforesaid Section 17-a
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall bein full force and effect f
